OLCI Embraces Titon’s MVHR Technology - February 2014
UK construction training provider, OLCI Construction Training, has unveiled brand new, mobile training facilities, which utilise Titon’s HRV1 Q Plus MVHR System. OLCI, the primary training partner for NICEIC on selected courses, is using the system at its regional training centres to educate delegates participating in the BPEC Domestic Ventilation training course.
OLCI owns and manages 13 training centres around the UK, offering an array of workshops and assessments. Charlie Streek, Renewables Manager at OLCI, had recently been on a BPEC course and was looking to enhance his company’s ventilation training facilities. As a result, he met with Titon and arranged to view the company’s facilities first hand.
Charlie explained: "I was very impressed with everything Titon showed me, they had an excellent set-up. As a result, I had a mobile rig constructed that I can take around our training centres across the UK. The rig consists of an HRV1 Q Plus unit, complete with the required ductwork, which enables me to demonstrate to trainees the full benefits MVHR has to offer and how to install the systems correctly. I have already used the rig for teaching courses in Manchester and Essex, and I can’t thank Titon enough for all their assistance in helping create excellent facilities."
The BPEC Domestic Ventilation Training course has now been recognised as a suitable academic qualification for the relevant Competent Person Schemes.
All Titon HRV Q Plus units have been independently tested by the BRE and are EST Best Practice compliant. Thanks to their discreet but revolutionary designs, the units offer class leading specific fan powers and highly efficient heat exchangers (up to 91% efficient) for enhanced SAP performance via Appendix Q.
