Titon Extends MVHR Product Range With New ‘Eco’ Units - October 2015
Titon has introduced a new 'Eco' range of HRV Q Plus mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) units. Each Eco unit incorporates a 100% airflow diverting Summer Bypass, which is recognised and listed in the UK Product Characteristics Database.
All UK Eco models are SAP Q listed, ensuring it is simple to find the most energy efficient unit sized to match ventilation demand, along with the right features to suit controllability needs. The new Eco units are also available in a wide range of capacities, starting with the extremely compact HRV 1.25 Q Plus right up to the larger HRV10 Q Plus. Additionally, they include SUMMERboost® and Intelligent Humidity Control options as standard, as well as the capability to be fitted with Titon's auralite® status indicator or the aurastat® controller.
All Titon's HRV Q Plus units, including the new Eco models, have been tested in relation to mandatory labelling requirements under the forthcoming Energy Labelling Regulation, which commences in January 2016. This stipulates that manufacturers of residential MVHR units which consume more than 30 watts must Energy Label their products, displaying energy ratings (from A+ to G) based on results from testing a measure of performance characteristics.
Commenting on complying with the new legislation, Titon Ventilation Systems Operation Manager Paul Rainbird explained: "Our extensive range of high performance units has been fully tested and we're keen to see the introduction of Energy Rating Labels that must include the brand and a model identifier. This will help our customers make an informed choice and avoid confusion between similarly named products that may have hugely different performances."
The new HRV Q Plus range can be seen this autumn at the Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show, Harrogate and Scotland Build, Glasgow. For more information about Titon's MVHR range, visit www.titon.co.uk/mvhr.
