Titon HRV1 Q Plus debut a success 11/2008

The first showing of Titon’s new energy efficient heat recovery unit has been met with unprecedented levels of interest.

The HRV1 Q Plus appeared at Interbuild last week in the Eco House which was part of ‘The Village’, a themed area showing fully constructed buildings including a house, a flat, hotel rooms and a supermarket. Although time and build constraints on the Eco House didn’t allow the Titon Ventilation Systems team to be able to demonstrate a working product, there was plenty of interest shown by visitors. For the majority of the exhibition there was a substantial queue to get into the property and everyone could see the HRV1 Q Plus at close hand. Members of the Titon Ventilation Systems team were there to hand out information and answer any questions.

The HRV1 Q Plus is the most efficient unit of its size currently available in the UK and had been tested by the BRE (Building Research Establishment) to make it SAP Q eligible, the resultant test figures means it has reached EST (Energy Savings Trust) Best Practice levels. This is really important in giving housebuilders the best opportunity in designing and building homes to the highest energy efficiency requirements.

Titon are looking forward to receiving a substantial number of enquiries as a result of their development work achieving these results, and are happy to talk to anyone wishing to specify a mechanical ventilation unit with heat recovery in upcoming housing developments.
