Titon introduces its most powerful ultra-efficient whole house heat recovery unit 02/2010
Titon has launched its largest SAP Appendix Q and EST Best Practice compliant whole house heat recovery ventilation unit – the HRV3 Q Plus. Perfect for larger sized properties, the new HRV3 Q Plus is designed for use in dwellings with three to seven wet rooms.
Like the other units in the HRV Q Plus range, the HRV3 Q Plus is designed for loft spaces and is much more compact than similarly performing units. Coupled with very low power consumption and a highly efficient heat exchanger – up to 90% – the HRV3 Q Plus is incredibly efficient for its size. This advanced performance has also been confirmed following independent SAP Q testing by the BRE. The unit is also EST Best Practice compliant – which will assist in achieving high dwelling energy efficiency ratings.
Designed with the installer in mind, all HRV Q Plus units have quick fix mounting brackets to make installation quick and simple, as well as features such as a standard 15mm condensate drain connection, quick commissioning facility with 5 or 10 minute boost delay and the ports accept either 125mm or 150mm diameter ducting with no adaptors required. The units are also low weight to save transit handling costs and installation time.
In addition, the units have a versatile energy-saving boost control with adjustable over-run timer, to ensure that they cannot be accidentally left in boost mode when used with the non-latching (momentary) switch. There is also a full commission facility for ultimate efficiency with 5, 10, 15 or 20 minute boost delay. The units feature full frost protection and are demand control ventilation ready. Naturally, Titon supplies a full range of ducting and ancillaries.
