Titon scores at new community stadium 10/2008

A state-of-art community sports stadium, which is the new home of football league club Colchester United, has been fitted with Titon Trimvent variable opening trickle ventilators and canopies.

The 10,000 seat stadium recently opened to acclaim and has hosted several matches. Many local contractors worked on internal elements of the community sports facility under the direction of specialist stadium construction firm, Barr Construction Limited.

Titon’s aluminium Trimvent TV4000 variable opening trickle ventilators and canopies have been installed with Kawneer 600 series windows at locations throughout the stadium, including the corporate suite area and IT support rooms by JPJ Installations Limited.

Ease of installation has been a long running factor in the choice of Titon ventilation systems by the Braintree-based Kawneer fabricator and approved agent.  Managing Director, JPJ Installations Limited, John Clarke said: “Historically we have always used Titon products - they are easy to install and we are geared up for them on site which saves valuable time.”

Titon’s comprehensive range of window trickle ventilators has been expanded with new improved designs that assist in compliance with new ventilation regulations in England and Wales. Aluminium and PVCu models are now available offering increased ventilation.

Specification is a simple process with Titon ventilation systems. Titon has marked EA on each product for easy reference. All ventilation and canopy or grille combinations have been tested in accordance with BS EN 13141:2004.
