Titon’s H200 Q Plus Provides Highly Efficient Horizontal Ventilation - February 2016

Titon has added the new H200 Q Plus MVHR unit to its ventilation systems portfolio. Designed for installation into shallow ceiling voids, the low profile unit boasts a depth of only 200mm, making it suitable for apartments and multiple occupancy applications, such as student accommodation.

The H200 Q Plus includes a 100% Thermal Summer Bypass, exceptionally low specific fan power and high heat recovery efficiency, all as listed in the Product Characteristics Database (PCDB) used by SAP. The new unit is also fully compliant with the latest Ecodesign requirements for energy-related products and Energy Labelling. The new product also incorporates the latest forward curved centrifugal EC fans to minimise noise levels, which is often a key requirement for horizontally mounted MVHR systems.

The H200 Q Plus is the latest addition to Titon's 'Eco' range of MVHR units, which have been comprehensively designed to ensure the most effective and energy efficient product match to building design with a choice of control including Titon’s auralite® status indicator or the aurastat® controller.

An extremely low specific fan power (SFP) of 0.55 W/l/s and heat exchanger offering efficiencies of up to 83% are combined with features such as intelligent humidity control, intelligent frost protection and SUMMERboost to help alleviate summer overheating.

Paul Cowell, Senior Technical Manager at Titon, said: "Not only does the H200 Q Plus boast a low profile, it has a highly efficient heat exchanger and a low SFP. Plus, it is quick and easy to commission, thanks to the intelligent control options available, while there is also a setback facility to reduce ventilation in circumstances where local regulations allow. The summer bypass ensures thermal comfort, as well as exceptional energy efficiency, throughout the whole year - it really is the complete package."

Units measure 1,004mm wide (excluding ports) x 203mm high x 604mm deep, weigh 32kg and accept 204mm x 60mm rectangular ducting, as well as 150mm or 160mm diameter ducting, without the need for adaptors. Products should be installed in accordance with Good Practice, such as the Domestic Ventilation Compliance Guide (England & Wales) and Residential Ventilation Association recommendations. The H200 Q Plus has a comprehensive 3-year parts and labour guarantee in the UK.
